45/70 beach gun
So we had an individual contact us about fixing up his old marlin 45/70 so he could easily carry it when fishing the beaches of Alaska. He wanted a short, fast action, low recoil gun that weather wouldn't bother it. So we created a muzzle device that became part of the barrel, shortened the barrel, lapped the action, added ghost ring sights and scope mount, and Cerakoted it is sniper grey. We had the walnut stock laser engraved for a better grip surface. Then we stained and sealed the wood. Upon test firing this beast I was surprised to find the felt recoil was equil to a 243. The shooter feels more muzzle blast than actual recoil into the shoulder. We tested a number of different loads from 300 grain to 400 grain bullet and found a person could really shoot this all day without shoulder fatigue. Love the way it turned out and hope the owner enjoys it.

Things to share.
I like diversity... I have never come across a rifle that works for everything from small game to large game to long range target. Diversity make one happy!

223 Swaged bullets
This 3/16" steel plate was shot at 100 yards using our very own 223 55 grain swaged bullet with a velocity of 3150fps. Our swaged bullet are made from spent 22lr cases with a lead core. From start to finish it takes 8 steps to make a bullet but we don't mind when we get results like this.
The brass case forms the jacket of the bullet. Brass has a higher zinc content than copper which lessens the friction between the bullet and barrel. Less friction equals longer barrel life. The down side is they cannot be loaded to velocities over 3200fps. Any velocity over that and you run the risk of the bullet coming apart.
We currently have 52gr-56gr bullets in stock. Ready for you to load with your favorite powder. They are packaged in 100 count bags and are for sale for $20 per bag. If you need them shipped we will ship them priority flat rate.
