300WSM Anyone?

We were throwing around ideas for a prototype long range hunting rifle. We first thought of building a 308 Winchester and then that changed to the 300WSM. We wanted a short action rifle with a no longer than 22" barrel. This barrel would be threaded for a brake and have a target crown on the muzzle.
We settled on a Remington 700 short action, Timney trigger, 40moa base, high end tactical rings, MDT chassis system, Leupold Mark4 4.5-14 scope, PWS brake, AI magazines, and a custom one off Cerakote finish. So now we have a plan, the parts, and the tools needed. After a ton of machining and hand work hours we finished the rifle.
Test firing went extremely well... 4 rounds, 1 round each from 4 different shooters, at 25 yards (that's as far as we can shoot in our indoor range) went into the same hole! Did I mention... No recoil.

What's in your emergency survival kit?

Thought we would post a picture of a few firearms that we have turned out in the shop. A custom build AR-15 "REAPER" chambered in 5.56 Match, a Glock 29 converted to 9x25 Dillon, and a Hybrid 1911.. Colt Match slide and barrel on a Para-Ordanace P-14 frame. All firearms have been refinished with Cerakote. Lots of love and hours are put into the finish of the firearms that come from our shop.

The KRG Bolt Lift Kit

We have a project Remington 700 Short Action SPS chambered in 308 Winchester. It is in the factory Hogue Stock which we hope to be changing out soon.
So far we have lapped the action, tuned the factory trigger, and Cerakoted the barreled action O.D.Green.
Today our KRG Bolt Lift Kit was delivered. We chose the KRG bolt simply because this is something the average Joe could put on his rifle without making permanent  changes to the rifle. The KRG is easy to install and to remove. Once installed it is instantly clear how much easier it is to manupliate the bolt. We will put together a video out in the field showing the completed project.

45/70 beach gun

So we had an individual contact us about fixing up his old marlin 45/70 so he could easily carry it when fishing the beaches of Alaska. He wanted a short, fast action, low recoil gun that weather wouldn't bother it. So we created a muzzle device that became part of the barrel, shortened the barrel, lapped the action, added ghost ring sights and scope mount, and Cerakoted it is sniper grey. We had the walnut stock laser engraved for a better grip surface. Then we stained and sealed the wood. Upon test firing this beast I was surprised to find the felt recoil was equil to a 243.  The shooter feels more muzzle blast than actual recoil into the shoulder. We tested a number of different loads from 300 grain to 400 grain bullet and found a person could really shoot this all day without shoulder fatigue. Love the way it turned out and hope the owner enjoys it.
